Bird Island Park is located behind the Ponte Vedra Branch Library at 101 Library Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082. Directions can be found on Map Quest. Bird Island Park is designed to represent our north Florida ecosystem. The 4.2 acre park includes a 2 acre pond with a board walk and viewing pavilion. Represented are the natural habitats of an Upland Hammock, a Coastal Scrub Dune, and a Freshwater Marsh, Pond & Rookery. They serve as examples of sustainable landscaping.

Broad, ADA, eco-interpretive walkways offer intergenerational learning and exploration opportunities amidst vegetation and animal habitats native to the First Coast. Visitors experience a unique turtle shaped maze, sculptures, a story telling area, a children’s playscape, benches, gazebos, and informational signage throughout the park with convenient parking and a roundabout.

The park is open from dawn to dusk every day.
